My name is Ineke Spoelstra. I was born in Amsterdam and lived here most of my life. I love Amsterdam and take my students on a city tour sometimes. Teaching Dutch has developed from a profession to almost a way of life: meeting people from all over the world, see them grow in confidence in speaking and starting to feel more at home in the Netherlands as a result gives me great pleasure and energy. Apart from teaching, I enjoy swimming, cycling, creative writing, storytelling and reading. I have 3 wonderful children.
